The fact of the matter is, if you’re recruited into a network marketing company, it’s often not by a professional, but by an amateur. Very frequently, they’ll be teaching you marketing strategies that are either not helpful at all, or even counter-productive. This is the major contributor to the low success rate amongst network marketers as well as the mistaken belief that all of these programs are scams. It’s an easy jump to make when you see that the way they’re teaching you doesn’t work. It’s not their fault though, they were simply trained wrong too.

This series of articles is going to sum up some of the material covered in my free advanced marketing training newsletter so it’s a little easier to digest. You can always find the detailed version in my newsletter if you’re interested in really exploring these ideas further.

I’ve classified the mentality you’ll need into 4 behaviours you’ll need to work on to ensure you’re in the right mindset for your marketing strategies. If you can learn and practice these skills daily, then you will become one of the top recruiters in your company.

1. Work Ethic
This marketing strategy refers to your ability to actually do the work needed to achieve your goals. You need to make sure that your work time is sacred and that nothing can interfere with it. Schedule your time properly, so that the tasks that bring you money are the ones that get the most focus. Eliminate TV breaks or Facebook breaks or email breaks and just focus on what you need to do during your work time, the more focused you are, the more productive you will be.

2. Taking Action
Too many people spend so much time researching how to be better at something, that they never actually do anything to get better. Almost all of your work related activity should be actions that result in you making money. Whether it’s selling vitamins, recruiting affiliate, promoting legal services, or whatever, that should be the focus of your activity. This is a key marketing strategy. Research only in your spare time, not your work time.

3. Becoming an Expert
An expert isn’t necessarily someone who knows everything about a subject, just more than most people. For this marketing strategy, do the research you need to do in your spare time so you can be well-educated in your chosen field. Then, adopt the mindset that you are an expert in that field. If you sell health products, tell people you are a health expert, if you sell legal services, you’re an expert in that. Experts are trusted, and people will buy from an expert. If that is you, then you win.

4. Expanding Your Skill Set
This reason for this marketing strategy is self-evident. It pays to get better at what you do. So, when you’re not working, read books about whatever your business or product is. Learn things. Get better at what you do. You’re not going to get better at anything by watching the Simpsons. Limit activities that don’t increase your value to a minimum so you can be constantly bettering yourself. It’s a surefire way to succeed at anything.

These marketing strategies will reshape your mindset to one of a top recruiter. By adopting this mindset, you’ll be miles ahead of the masses that blindly throw their business at everyone hoping for a sale. You will become a true master of your craft. Stay tuned to this line of topics because in the following posts I will cover actual tools you can use in your marketing strategies and how you can use them to grow your business as fast as lightning!
