First of all I’m pleased to say I have a mentor, over the years I have belonged to Nick James Membership, also Chris Farrell’s, Both are genuine guys and very successful Internet Marketers. You may have also heard of Andrew Reynolds, he is a bit of a Granddaddy of online marketers in the UK having appeared in the national press and TV. He has also trained a number of entrepreneurs and influenced many people’s lives.
I feel it is important to have a mentor especially when you begin online, someone with a tried and tested plan for making money.
I currently belong to a group of affiliate marketers, we have our own closed Facebook group where we communicate with each other and make comments about what is working for us, both tips and tools. Members upload instructional videos introducing new techniques to share our successes with other members. It is a strange fact, but internet marketers are generally a very friendly helpful bunch of people, willing to share ideas and generally help each other, much more than in traditional sales.
So how do I promote products, well although not completely necessary I do have websites. If you have a mentor it is possible to promote their sales pages without having your own website, just your own affiliate link.
I use a few marketing techniques like forum marketing, email marketing, an occasional Facebook ad, and sometimes solo ads. I have a few free classified advertisements. Organic traffic does take time to build. However my favourite marketing method is content marketing, I write an article most days because it is something I love to do; sometimes these get picked up by other directories and go viral. If this happens your article continues to be passed around the web month after month, with links back to your website and offers. A good long-term strategy.
The next marketing method I will use is video marketing, it is very popular and successful as YouTube has a large following, and videos are also loved by Google.
Building your list is a continual process, the bigger the list, the more potential customers you have. It is fun watching your business grow and develop as you use different marketing strategies. I only recommend good products, things I would purchase, or have already done so. It is important to treat your followers fairly if you want to build a list of happy customers, who trust you and want to buy again, gaining you repeat sales; a win – win situation. Building your reputation is very important.
