I spend a lot of time working on my Affiliate Marketing campaigns, so I need a lot of help during these long days to increase my productivity. Unfortunately, hyped up sales letters are so enticing — I tend to blow my money on a lot of junk.

As an Affiliate Marketer, there are a lot of tools that exist, but few are worth a cent, much less a dollar. Google offers Webmasters a ton of free resources and most can be used by Affiliate Marketers as alternatives to high priced products.

Take Google Analytics, for example. This tool used to be called “Urchin”, which cost quite a bit of money. Now? It’s 100% free, thanks to Big G (Google)! With Google Analytics, you can check out how many visits your site(s) get(s), the Keywords used, Bounce Rates, Exit pages, etc. You can see where the users are coming from, which states or countries give you the most visits, etc.

This tool is an excellent resource that can help tweak your site and take it to the next level. Another great tool by Google is the Website Optimizer. This product helps you tweak your Landing pages, through what’s called “Split testing”, so that you get the best results possible. And the price? You guessed it: FREE.

Most Pay Per Click users realize that Google AdWords offers what might just be the absolute best Keyword Tool that money can buy, and it’s free. The Google Keyword Tool gives you results from the biggest Search Database, by the Biggest Search Engine in the world. Why would you spend money on another tool? Nichebot.com provides a great Keyword Research System, but that does cost money. Google’s Keyword Tool is probably the most accurate tool on earth giving you the best competition examples (using graphs) and CPC (Cost Per Click) figures.

OK, OK… let’s get away from Google!

Microsoft offers some great tools, too. AdLab by Microsoft is an awesome tool that gives you some of the best Research tools I’ve seen. I highly suggest that you check out AdLab and give it a spin before starting your next Marketing campaign!

Yahoo! offers Site Explorer and their tools, as well.

eBay has their “Pulse” results which shows you the hottest search terms on their site.

There’s so many free tools out there that you would be crazy to keep spending money. And what’s best? These companies spend MILLIONS of dollars and thousands of Man hours to develop these tools… with some of the most advanced Marketing teams behind it… so WHY would you even think that these $97 tools sold by these “gurus” would even compare? Think twice before you spend money on another tool!
